Decadance is a music marketing company primarily based in Brighton but also has other activity across the UK. We get brands closer to their audiences through our DJ agency, networking events, music education, popup music events, radio station and festivals.
We’re looking for a proactive social media enthusiast with a hunger for creating content and getting it out to large audiences, a keen eye for detail and who can spot an opportunity. If you like music and events that will come as just a bonus in this role.
This role would ideally suit someone who is studying at university or who is only looking some part-time involvement with a role at the moment. If this ends up being you you’ll work as part of the main content team, creating content for all social channels to go across our events, radio and festivals. The role will involve managing all our socials, coming up with content, producing and interacting with people via our channels and ensuring we get the most out of our digital platforms.
As this is part-time role it can work alongside other commitments. This is a voluntary position for the first 3-6 months. There will be a review at the 3-month period to review suitability. If it is suitable then a review will be done at 6-months (or sooner depending on operations) to migrate it into a permanent paid position.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage and grow social channels for Decadance, Fest Intentions and Audio School. Working as part of the content team you will develop through ideas, engage through content, and grow through wider training and knowledge of the overall business.
CONTENT IDEAS PROGRAMMING
You’ll work alongside most members of the team when it comes to ideas and creating content. You will co-ordinate all content and priortise what goes out and when in relation to future ideas running alongside regular day-to-day content.
A keen understanding of how different content engages with the audience and how the different platforms perform differently so we can maximise our digital content.
Taking ideas and producing them into social content through artwork, audio, and some video content for socials.
BRANDING, PR & CUSTOMER SERVICE
Understanding Decadance is important to enable you to talk to fans and partners professionally. When dealing with a range of enquiries via our socials, it’s important to have the right tone with all interactions.
Always thinking of how we can get a wider awareness of what we are always doing and being a brand ambassador.
Helping to create the ONDemand content for the Catchup services available on the website.
Ensure all company documents are signed and returned and that any regulatory information is digested which are required by law.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Vital to have Adobe Creative Suite skills including Photoshop, Audition and Premier Pro. Others including Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign are desirable but not essential. Being able to use a Mac and PC is also important. A vital understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, Linkedin and TikTok. Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Experience of social media and design is desirable as the role will involve a lot of content creation. Having worked within music and events before is desirable but not essential.
Being a team player and having a strong creative side when it comes to ideas is important, alongside a keen attitude to ensure deadlines are met. The role is flexible, so being flexible in a changing environment for clients is important. You must be able to approach the role with an ability to own it and work unsupervised at times, whilst giving occasional updates to the rest of the team about progress.
