POSITION TITLE: Music Assistant
COMMITMENT: 6-Months Voluntary
HOURS: 6-8 Flexible around educational requirements (can be evenings or daytimes during the week, although 3hrs Must be on a Friday as a minimum)
REMUNERATION: Voluntary Leading To Freelance*

We are a music marketing company with studios in Brighton and Bristol. Operating across two areas Events and Festivals (Decadance Events) and Music & Radio (Decadance Radio)
We are looking to grow our team in Brighton with the introduction of a Music Assistant to the team. As a Music Assistant you will be responsible for helping to shape both Stations future Music policy as well as working on our current database. All our opportunities start on a voluntary basis, until suitable sponsorships have been confirmed. Then roles could become fully paid.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a music assistant you would be working on our Music Database across both stations, helping to shape our future music policy and support new changes to Music coming in 2024. You will also be supporting our Artists with any Music enquiries.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIRMENTS
Must have a solid background knowledge of the big Music Genres and be up to date with current with new releases and Music Trends. You should have a keen eye for detail and enjoy keeping to current and also any future set, formatting.
KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Clear, precise and amiable communicator
• Keen eye for attention to detail.
• Able to think on your feet and improvise.
• PC literate and able to use Audio equipment (some training given)
• Impeccable time keeping are a MUST.
• Keeps up to date with Music, Fashion, Festivals trends and news.
• Able to plan and works well as part of a team.
• Able to formulate, share and execute ideas within a team.
A keen and active interest in Music and current trends within Generes is essential for this role. You should be forward thinking and able to communicate effectively. You should be able to work as part of a team as well as have self-motivation when working alone. An ability to adapt and remain calm in times of pressure is also an advantage
