Decadance UK is a music marketing company with studios and offices in Brighton and Bristol. The company is split across Music, Radio, Events and Festivals.
As an audio producer, you will be responsible for editing and putting together packages and documentaries that will grab listeners attention. Your creativity will also be put to the test as you create idents and promos for various clients’ audio branding needs, as well as internal needs for the radio station itself.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating high-quality audio content. You must be able to work collaboratively with other team members, but also be self disciplined to work to deadlines in the studio on your own.
As well as the technical knowledge and skills for the main editing packages we use; Ableton and Audition, you should also have a good ear for sound quality and a desire to want to learn about current trends within the industry. With your audio production you will play an important role in ensuring that radio stations produce engaging content that keeps their audience coming back for more.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As an audio producer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality audio content. Your primary responsibility is to create idents and promos (ads) that effectively promote the station’s brand both internally for our shows and externally for our clients and partners. There will also be longer more complex documentaries and projects which will allow you to put more of your own stamp on the finished elements.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent technical skills in using editing software such as Adobe Audition or Ableton. Additionally, you should have a keen ear for sound design and understand how music and sound effects can enhance the listener’s experience.
You will work closely with other members of the music and programming team, to ensure deadlines are met, while maintaining the highest level of quality. You should be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, multitask effectively, and communicate clearly with colleagues.
The Audio Producer role requires a combination of technical and creative skills. A candidate should have a strong background in audio production, including proficiency in editing software and equipment. They should also have experience in creating packages and documentaries, as well as producing idents and promos for various audio branding projects.

KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
One of your key responsibilities is to ensure the audio content you are creating is of the highest quality. You will need to have a strong understanding of the editing software and techniques, as well as a keen ear for what sounds good. It’s also important to have a general understanding of radio audio content and the difference elements including Idents, Promos, Packages, Client ROT’s and Special Feature Campaigns. An intermediate level of experience of Ableton and Adobe Audition is key and if you have a hunger to want to come up new and exciting ideas for all areas of audio production this will come across.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Crafting idents and promos for clients and internal branding is a crucial aspect of the audio producer role. The audio producer must have a keen understanding of the client’s requirements to create captivating and engaging idents that represent their brand. They should be able to articulate the client’s message in a concise and compelling manner, using innovative techniques to grab the listener’s attention.
