‘The One’ Radio Campaign
Campaign Definitions
‘Entrant’ refers to anyone who is entering ‘The One’ campaign.
‘Campaign’ refers to the competition which is taking place on Decadance Radio.
‘Decadance’ refers to Decadance Radio which is hosting the competition.
‘Initial Winner’ refers to the five selected people from the total pool of entrants.
‘Final Winner’ refers to the single person who wins the overall competition and is picked to become the breakfast show co-host on Decadance Brighton.
Terms & Conditions
1.0 Entrants must be over the age of 18 to apply for this competition, regardless of whether you are applying via social media or via the Decadance UK website.
2.0 By entering into this competition, all entrants agree to have all audio and video files submitted to Decadance used as part of their application, both on-air and online, during and after the competition closing date. Other photos and promotional material may also be requested from the person entering.
3.0 This competition is open to anyone who lives within the counties of East and West Sussex or within traveling distance to Brighton, as travel to Brighton city centre will be required for this position.
4.0 Five initial winners will be picked from all the entries received and singled out to be part of the breakfast show for a short period of around 2-3 months. Each of the five initial winners will be allocated one day per week each to join the breakfast show.
5.0 The dates the initial winners will be required for will be communicated to them with at least 2 weeks’ notice and will be confirmed via email after a telephone conversation confirming thier inclusion into the show. Decadance reserves the right to move these dates according to programming requirements.
6.0 If shortlisted, the initial winner (candidate) would be required to attend the Brighton studios one day per week, every week, for the total length of the campaign and the initial winner (candidate) will be allocated a weekday which they will be required to attend the studio between the hours of 06:00-10:00.
7.0 This position is a voluntary position for the length of time the initial winner (candidate) is completing their one day per week, which will be roughly a 2–3-month period. Decadance reserves the right to amend or change the campaign length depending on programming requirements.
8.0 The initial winners (candidates) will be asked (once shortlisted), if there are any days during the week which are not suitable and whilst every effort will be made to accommodate the initial winners’ commitments, Decadance cannot guarantee a specific day.
9.0 The final winner, picked from the five initial winners, will continue to be part of the breakfast show as a permanent presenter, and would enter into a presenter agreement on a freelance basis. Whilst payment for this role would begin following suitable sponsorship of the breakfast show, transport costs will be covered until then.
10.0 Both the initial winners and the final winner would be required weekdays from 6:00am to 10:00am.
11.0 Suitable preparation time both before and after each show is required as part of this opportunity and needs to be treated as though it were an actual role.
12.0 The decision to pick a winner will be decided amongst listeners via an online poll as well as the Decadance programming team. Any final decision will be made by a member of the Decadance programming team and will be classed as final.
